About Us

The International Disc Jockey Trade Association

(IDJTA) was founded by Edwin “OG Crazy Eddie” Myles in June 2008. Since then, thousands of DJs from across the world have joined the organization not only because it’s the most comprehensive member organization for DJs but also because of Eddie’s reputation in the industry and his well-deserved respect.

Originally from Queens New York, Myles came up under the wing of Africa Bambadaa in the early days of the hip-hop movement and has witnessed its evolution first-hand. With such intimate knowledge of hip-hop and the DJ industry and having worked with some of the largest independent and major labels, OG Crazy Eddie saw what DJs were missing in the industry and started the IDJTA to address these issues.

Since its creation, the IDJTA has attracted the attention of various celebrities and personalities that have volunteered to serve on its advisory board. Board members include: Radio Legend Herb Kent and Hip-Hop Legend Africa Bambadaa among others who provide guidance towards the future of hip-hop and the DJ profession.

As president of Zulu Nation South and founder of the IDJTA, Myles has a vision of returning hip-hop to its true roots as a positive movement in our nation’s communities. To further celebrate the DJ and DJs contributions to hip-hop music, planning has already begun for the 2010 IDJ Awards Show and Expo based on such an overwhelming national and international response. If you are a DJ or are affiliated with the music industry you don’t want to miss this amazing event. DJs this event is all about you and will allow you to relax, network, check out the latest technology and enjoy historic Atlanta!
